A fire engulfed a passenger vehicle on Autostrada A4 on Saturday, 6 June around noon. The incident occurred at kilometer 431 of the road, two kilometers past the Bieżanów junction heading towards Tarnów near Kokotów village (Wieliczka County).
Fire Contained
The fire, initially reported to be large with intense flames, was successfully controlled by firefighting services. No one was injured, and the vehicle was quickly moved to the breakdown lane.
Traffic Disruption
Due to the firefighting operation, significant traffic disruptions occurred on Autostrada A4. While only one lane was open, progress was incredibly slow, with drivers having to pass through plumes of smoke in the area.
