“I Asked If He Knew I Had Children”: Employee Reveals Sebastian M.’s Driving Habits

An employee of Sebastian M. testified in court regarding the fatal A1 motorway crash, describing the defendant’s history of dangerous, high-speed driving habits that frequently exceeded 300 km/h.

A Pattern of Reckless Driving

The trial concerning the A1 motorway crash, which resulted in the death of a three-person family, has shed light on the defendant’s driving conduct. A former employee, who frequently traveled with Sebastian M. for business, testified that the defendant displayed an aggressively dangerous style behind the wheel.

The witness, formerly employed at the father’s company Berotex but performing tasks for Sebastian M.’s coffee business, Rigello, described how speeds exceeding 300 km/h were considered routine for the defendant.

A Terrifying Journey at 304 km/h

Recalling a business trip to Lithuania four years ago in the same BMW involved in the fatal accident, the witness described a segment between Bialystok and Warsaw. The employee noted the speed reached 304 km/h, stating he had never driven that fast before or since.

The witness recalled feeling immense fear while watching trees blur by on the roadside. He explicitly questioned his employer about his racing experience and whether he considered the fact that the employee had children.

The Aftermath of the Tragedy

Despite the fatal collision occurring on the A1, the defendant continued with his travel plans the very next day. Accompanied by the same employee, Sebastian M. drove a different vehicle belonging to his father while clearly nursing a limp.

When questioned about his injury, Sebastian M. blamed the driver of the Kia involved in the crash, alleging that the victim had suddenly cut him off. During the court testimony, the defendant remained mostly stoic, though he appeared visibly nervous when looking toward his parents.

Expert Analysis and Legal Consequences

Experts confirmed that the BMW struck the Kia, which was traveling correctly, at a speed exceeding 300 km/h, leaving the victims trapped in the burning vehicle with no chance of survival. Sebastian M. faces a potential sentence ranging from six months to eight years in prison.
