A man died on Sunday, May 24, after being struck by a Wrocław–Białystok train while crossing the tracks at an unauthorized location in the village of Sitne, Wołomin County.
Fatal Incident on the Tracks
At 12:42 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, a train operating the route from Wrocław to Białystok struck a man on the tracks in the village of Sitne, located in Wołomin County. The man died at the scene of the accident.
Investigation and Traffic Disruption
Following the collision, rail traffic was suspended in both directions. Police officers are currently working at the site under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office to establish the identity of the victim and the precise circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary reports indicate that no identification documents were found on the deceased.
