Sikorski shared a photo on X of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Julia Svyrydenko standing in front of the destroyed Cabinet of Ministers building in Kyiv, which was reduced to rubble during the overnight Russian attack.
Donald Tusk Criticizes Delayed International Response
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on his X, “Russia’s attack on Kyiv shows that delaying decisive response and trying to temper Vladimir Putin is senseless.” He emphasized the need for the US and Europe to act together to force Russia to immediately cease fire.
Highest Russian Airstrike on Ukraine
Russian forces carried out the largest air strike on Ukraine to date, according to Ukrainian media. At least three people were killed in Kyiv, including a mother with an infant. Russia targeted the Cabinet of Ministers building. Ukraine’s military reported that Russia used 810 Shahed drones and 13 Iskander missiles, while Ukrainian air defenses took down or neutralized 747 drones and 9 Iskander missiles. Some drones and missiles hit civilian infrastructure, injuring about 20 people.
