19-year-old Chechen traffic violator identified
The suspect, a 19-year-old Chechen citizen, was identified following his arrest. Initial sobriety tests indicated he was sober, but police discovered he was under an active driving ban.
Chase initiated in Śródmieście
The pursuit began in the Śródmieście district when officers attempted to stop the driver of a Mercedes for a routine check. The driver ignored the signaling officers, resulting in a high-speed chase through major Warsaw streets including Prosta, Kasprzaka, Ordona, and Jan Kazimierza, ultimately leading to Wola’s Władysława Warneńczyka Street where the driver was finally apprehended.
The fleeing driver entered an unreachable cul-de-sac where officers successfully detained and restrained him, concluding the high-speed police chase.
