A 15-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by an Audi while crossing the street near the Targówek shopping center in Warsaw on Saturday evening.
Details of the Incident
On Saturday at approximately 6:40 PM, a serious accident occurred on Głębocka Street near the Targówek Shopping Center involving a pedestrian and an Audi passenger vehicle. The 15-year-old girl was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Emergency Response
Preliminary findings indicate that the teenager was crossing at a pedestrian crosswalk against a red light when she was hit. The impact caused the victim to suffer sudden cardiac arrest.
Witnesses immediately initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the scene, which was subsequently continued by paramedics. The victim was transported to the hospital in an unconscious, critical state.
Investigation and Traffic Impact
The driver of the Audi was tested for alcohol and found to be sober. An accident investigation team from the Traffic Department worked on-site to secure evidence and establish the exact circumstances of the collision.
Traffic on Głębocka Street experienced delays during the operation, with two lanes blocked in the direction of Kondratowicza Street.
