A serious accident occurred on National Road 50 near Mińsk Mazowiecki on Friday, June 5, when a Mercedes bus collided with a Nissan, resulting in 12 people being transported to hospitals.
Collision on National Road 50
On Friday, June 5, around 6:30 PM, a major accident involving a Mercedes bus and a Nissan passenger car occurred on National Road 50 between Stojadła and Zamienie in the Mińsk County. Twelve people were hospitalized following the crash, and the road was blocked.
Accident Details and Circumstances
The Mercedes, carrying 13 people, was traveling from Garwolin and turning left from Kołbielska Street when it collided with a Nissan traveling from Kołbiel toward Stojadła. Preliminary findings suggest the bus driver failed to yield, causing the Nissan to strike the rear corner of the bus, which subsequently overturned.
Emergency Response and Medical Care
Firefighters assisted passengers in exiting the bus, while medical teams provided care on-site. Eleven passengers from the bus and the driver of the Nissan were taken to hospitals; their conditions are not life-threatening. The driver of the bus was uninjured.
Investigation and Road Status
Police from Mińsk Mazowiecki, working under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, confirmed that both drivers were Polish citizens and tested sober. On-site investigations and debris removal forced the continued closure of National Road 50 at the scene.
