A 16-year-old riding an unregistered dirt bike without a license was airlifted to a hospital on Sunday following a head-on collision with a car in Redzyńskie, Mińsk County.
The Incident and Emergency Response
On Sunday, June 7, a serious accident occurred on a dirt road in Redzyńskie, within the Latowicz municipality. A 16-year-old motorcyclist collided head-on with a passenger car driven by a 49-year-old woman at approximately 2:20 PM.
Emergency services, including police and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene. Due to the severity of his injuries, the teenager was transported to a hospital via a Polish Medical Air Rescue (LPR) helicopter.
Legal Status of the Minor and Vehicle
According to Senior Sergeant Paula Antolak, spokesperson for the Mińsk Mazowiecki District Police, the 16-year-old lacked the required license to operate a motorcycle. Furthermore, the bike was not registered and lacked mandatory third-party liability insurance.
Outcome for the Driver
The 49-year-old driver was found to be sober and possessed a valid driver’s license. She did not sustain any injuries in the collision.
Ongoing Investigation
Local police are investigating the circumstances and causes of the accident. Authorities are also processing the case regarding the teenager’s operation of an uninsured, unregistered vehicle without legal authorization.
