Discovery of Mysterious Object Spurs Ocean Rescue Operation for Missing Polish Teen

The father of missing 16-year-old Krzysztof Dymiński discovered a strange object in the Vistula River over a week after his son’s disappearance.

On Sunday evening, September 7th, Krzysztof Dymiński’s father, Daniel, informed social media that while scouring the waters near Łomianki, he had found an old boat.

The man also stated, “I found the bottom of a large boat during the search. I then came across rows of stakes driven into the Vistula, as if they were parts of something. But I’m not sure.” He added that “[t]he Vistula has revealed quite a lot, which is why the Mazowiecki Zabytków are investigating underwater sites that are normally inaccessible.”

Search Ongoing for Missing Youth

In a conversation with tvnwarszawa.pl, Daniel revealed that he had informed the Mazowiecki Zabytków of his discovery. Despite searching the river and land regularly, he maintains hope that his son is alive.

“We still believe our son is alive. We’re anxiously awaiting forensic progress that will show what Krzysiek looks like after two years of being missing,” he said in his interview with the portal.

Discovery Analysis by Experts

The found boat, referred to as a szkuta, was identified by the Pogotowie Archeologiczne (Archaeological Emergency) as a type of boat popular in trade between the 15th and 17th centuries.
