Polish and Czech Lawmakers Submit Emergency Resolution on Russian Drones

Polish and Czech lawmakers submit emergency resolution in Parliament following Russian drone incursions into Polish airspace.

Polish Parliament Reaction

Explaining the resolution, Andrzej Halicki wrote in social media that “a special debate in the European Parliament regarding solidarity with Poland will take place tomorrow at 8:30, with the approval of all political groups.” This comes after Russian drones breached Polish airspace.

Czech Support

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala declared that the Czech Republic is ready to support Poland in defending against Russian provocations. “We are ready to provide all possible support. We can participate in strengthening the protection of NATO’s eastern border and take any measures agreed within NATO,” he said.

Criticism of Russia

Fiala called for all political forces to condemn the violation of Polish airspace, stating that “Russia is provoking our closest neighbors. Drones are falling two hundred kilometers from our homes. This is a serious political situation and evidence of direct threat to our security.”
