A tragic incident occurred today at Wierzbno metro station on Warsaw’s Mokotów line when a woman jumped in front of an oncoming train. Despite the quick response of emergency services, her injuries were fatal.

Metro Stations Halted

Due to the incident, services were suspended on a six-station stretch of the metro’s first line. The Warsaw Public Transport system is advising passengers to expect disruptions and use alternative modes of transportation.
