Burned Body Found in Abandoned Building on Warsaw’s Praga-North

Polish firefighters discovered a burned body inside an abandoned building on Jagiellońska Street in Warsaw’s Praga-North district on September 10.

Fire Erupts in Outbuilding

A deadly fire broke out in a nearby outbuilding on the property referred to as the “Fort Sliwicki.” Two rescue teams from Fire Station No. 1 were dispatched to the scene.

Discovery of Remains

After extinguishing the flames, rescue workers conducted a search of the fire-damaged property and discovered the burned remains of an unidentified man.

Transfer to Forensic Examination

Police took over the investigation, conducting an investigation under the supervision of a prosecutor. The remains were secured and transported to the Forensic Medicine Center for an autopsy.

Ongoing Investigations

Detailed examinations of the fire site are scheduled, with a fire expert in attendance. The causes and circumstances of the fire, as well as the deceased’s identity, are still being investigated.
