Utah Receives ‘7,000 Tips’ in Helping FBI Catch Charlie Kirk’s Killer

The FBI is asking the public for help in identifying the suspect in the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot during a university event in Utah last month.

The FBI has released surveillance footage showing the suspect in the attack on Kirk, who was slain at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The video and photos show a slender man wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.

‘7,000 Tips Flood in to Assist Investigation’

“We cannot perform our work without the help of the community,” said Utah State Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason, as he announced that nearly 7,000 tips have been submitted to date. The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Kirk’s killer.

Charlie Kirk’s Death Met with Outpouring of Support

In a personal gesture, Vice President J.D. Vance flew to Utah to meet with Kirk’s family and escort their son’s body back to Arizona. Donald Trump announced plans to posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
