Residents of Poland’s Podkarpackie region received an emergency alert in relation to live fire military exercises and helicopter deployments scheduled between September 14 and October 3.
Residents Receive Emergency Alert
The Podkarpackie region’s inhabitants received a notification from the Polish Rządowe Centrum Bezpieczeństwa, informing them of the planned exercises by law enforcement services between September 14 and October 3, which may involve the sounds of gunshots and helicopter flights.
Exercises Conducted in Bieszczadzkie and Leskie Districts
A similar alert was sent out for the Leskie and Bieszczadzkie districts, advising residents to maintain calm and caution during the military training exercises.
Importance of Simulated Training
Colonel Mariusz Łapeta highlighted the necessity of such military exercises, stating, “The military must train and be prepared. Particularly with the use of Black Hawk helicopters, which are in Poland’s equipment, pilots practice skills in various scenarios, including responding to natural disasters. Although helicopters can be disruptive with their noise, they are an essential part of training.”
