Secret Order Dragon Haunts Poland: Teen’s Murder Over “Secret Order” Tragedy

Four high school friends from Złotoryja, Poland—a group that trained in kickboxing—planned a brutal murder over a fabricated secret order of assassins, leading to one teenager being tortured and killed in an isolated wood in 2007.

Close-Knit Teen Friends Plot Revenge

The four students—17-year-old Maciej, 17-year-old Marek, 18-year-old Mateusz, and 17-year-old Michał—formed a kickboxing group. Michał, the de facto leader, invented a “secret order” called Dragon and coerced the others into it, telling them it was a deadly real organization.

Premeditated Murder Plan

The group planned to kill Maciej, torturing him in a snowy wood pit. The plan included various options, ultimately choosing to bury him alive. The fatal act was carried out with a knife, while the others held Maciej down.

Maciej’s Brutal Murder and Cover-Up

On January 24, 2007, Maciej was lured to a forest clearing, where he was tortured, forced to kneel, and stabbed in the throat. The murder lasted for about 20 minutes. The classmates then buried his body, eventually reporting it as a missing person.

Legal Convictions and Sentences

In 2009, all three were convicted of murder. Michał, Marek, and Mateusz were sentenced to 25 years in prison, with Michał eligible for parole after 22 years due to his still-developing mental state.
