Tree Falls on Tram Tracks and Cars in Warsaw; Mother and Child in One Vehicle

A tree fell onto tram tracks and parked cars at Słowackiego Street in Warsaw, damaging the tracks and blocking the road. Emergency services were dispatched, and a mother with her child, who were in one of the affected vehicles, managed to get out safely before being taken to safety.

Tree Collision

A large tree fell onto the tram tracks and several parked vehicles on Słowackiego Street near the intersection with Szczepanowskiego Street at approximately 4:19 PM on Monday, September 16th. Part of the tree branches landed on the road, tram tracks, and parked cars, causing significant disruption to public transportation and vehicle traffic.

Emergency Response

Emergency services, including three fire departments and a heavy rescue vehicle, responded to the scene. A mother with her child who were inside one of the damaged cars managed to get out safely and left the vehicle on their own. Both the mother and child were taken to a safe area and neither required hospitalization.

Tram Line Interruption

The tram line 36 and bus lines 116 and 518 were temporarily suspended due to the incident. The disruption in traffic and tram services lasted until approximately 9 PM on September 16th as emergency services worked to clear the area and restore normal services.
