Poland to Sign Drone Cooperation Agreement with Ukraine

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz began an unannounced visit to Kyiv on September 18, accompanied by Deputy Minister Paweł Zalewski and Polish military commanders.

The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between Poland and Ukraine, focusing on the use of drones and defense industry partnerships. Kosiniak-Kamysz mentioned that Poland will sign an agreement with Ukraine on cooperation between their ministries, specifically on gaining skills in operating drones.

The talks will also cover the development of joint initiatives in the industry.

Meetings and Discussions

Kosiniak-Kamysz plans to meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, with discussions set to focus on defense industry cooperation, sharing experiences on using unmanned aerial vehicles, and joint activities within the allied training center JATEC.

Tributes and Statements

At the start of his visit, Kosiniak-Kamysz paid tribute to those who have died for Ukraine’s freedom and Polish soldiers murdered by the Soviets at the cemetery in Bykownia.

In a social media post, he stated that the talks would focus on strengthening cooperation in the face of ongoing Russian aggression and the challenges faced by both nations.
