Polish Military Officer Konrad Barnaś Dies at 45

Lieutenant Colonel Konrad Barnaś, chief of staff at the 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base in Mirosławiec, Poland, has died at the age of 45.

Announcement of Death

The 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base in Mirosławiec, Poland, announced on Wednesday that Lieutenant Colonel Konrad Barnaś had passed away.

In a Facebook post, the base wrote: “He who remains in our hearts and memory never dies.”

Biography and Funeral Details

Lieutenant Colonel Konrad Barnaś was 45 years old. He served in Afghanistan in 2011 as the Commander of the BSR Key in the Polish Task Force Reconnaissance Group.

Funeral services will begin on September 19 at 1:30 PM, followed by a requiem mass at 2:00 PM at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Czarna.

The 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base in Mirosławiec was established in 2016 and is under the command of the 1st Tactical Aviation Wing.

The unit is designed for image and electronic reconnaissance, as well as precision strikes on ground and naval targets.
