Abandoned Luggage Closes Two M2 Metro Stations

On Friday, September 19, M2 metro line stations Bemowo and Ulrychów were closed due to an abandoned luggage, with police and firefighters on the scene.

Safety Measures and Closure

The stations were closed after an abandoned luggage was reported, prompting a response from the police and fire brigade to assess potential threats and secure the area.

The police are conducting a mining and pyrotechnical reconnaissance, while firefighters are supporting the efforts to secure the site and organize a safety zone.

Impact on Public Transport

The closure of the stations has led to changes in traffic organization, with passengers being redirected to replacement bus services or regular lines operating in the area.

Passengers are advised to use alternative bus services until the situation is resolved.

Previous Incidents

Similar incidents involving abandoned luggage have caused temporary disruptions to metro services in the past, such as on July 21, 2025, when a package was found at the Bemowo station.

Official Statement

According to WTP, “Due to operational actions, M2 metro line stations Bemowo and Ulrychów have been closed. Please use bus services instead.”
