A4 Collision: 43‑Year‑Old Survives Crash, Dies After Leaving Car

On December 2, a multi‑vehicle collision on Poland’s A4 highway between Kędzierzyn‑Koźle and Krapkowice left a 43‑year‑old woman dead after she stepped out of her car.

A multi‑vehicle collision on the A4 motorway on 2 December involved nine vehicles, including cars, trucks and a bus. Nineteen people were in the vehicles at the time of the crash.

43‑Year‑Old Survives Crash

Prosecutor Stanisław Bar explained that the woman survived the initial impact. She exited her vehicle shortly after the collision and was struck by another car that did not expect a pedestrian in that spot.

Police Investigate

No charges have been filed yet, but the investigation continues. Experts cite poor visibility and adverse road conditions as key contributing factors.

Series of Accidents on A4

On the same day, four separate incidents occurred on the A4. In one, two cars and a minibus collided in the opposite lane, leaving three people at the scene. Another car then struck a truck and a barrier, resulting in two hospital admissions. A truck caught fire after colliding with another, killing one person.
