Accident Details
A collision occurred on Friday, 12 December, near 10 a.m. at the junction of Grójecka and Wawelska streets during a left‑turn. The Audi driver was turning left onto Wawelska when a delivery van traveling from the city centre struck the Audi from the side.
Emergency Response
Firefighters, medical rescuers and police were dispatched. The firefighters secured the scene, disconnected the batteries and neutralised leaking fluids. The Audi driver underwent a preliminary examination and was transported to hospital. The van driver emerged unhurt.
Traffic Impact
Roadworks cause heavy congestion. Exit from Wawelska toward West Station is through a single lane, while two lanes heading toward the Monument of the Aviator are blocked. Traffic toward the city centre and the stretch of Grójecka towards Okęcie continues to flow. Police are handling further actions on site.
