Additional Powers for Social Service Center Coordinators

Polish government plans to enhance powers and salaries for coordinators working in Social Service Centers.

New Legislative Changes

Poland’s Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has submitted a draft amendment to the July 19, 2019 Act on the provision of social services by Social Service Centers (CUS).

The amendment would make the adoption of a social services program mandatory for these centers.

Organizational Structure Modifications

The current regulations establish teams for social service organization and social assistance, plus a single position for a community organizer.

The proposed changes would allow for teams to operate in the community organizer role, rather than just individual staff members.

Enhanced Benefits for Coordinators

Coordinators in Social Service Centers will receive additional powers and salary supplements as part of the legislative changes.
