In 2025, Maciąg publicly disclosed a recurrence of her cancer, a disease she had previously claimed to have defeated, forcing her to reduce professional activities for treatment.
She largely withdrew from public life in the final months, focusing on therapy, family and online engagement with readers via webinars and video content.
Career Highlights
Born 9 May 1969 in Białystok, she began modeling in the late 1980s after winning a prestigious contest by Wilhelmina agency, then worked on major international runways in New York, Milan and Paris for designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Pierre Cardin and Escada.
At the peak of her modeling career she returned to Poland, gave birth to a son, and later combined fashion work with media, hosting the RTL 7 program “Seven Temptations” and other lifestyle shows.
In 1996 she released the album “Marakesz 5:30” and the poetry collection “Green Slippers”. Moving away from show business, she shifted toward spirituality, health, yoga and coaching aspiring self‑aware living.
Her later output includes more than fifteen titles on health, natural cuisine, personal development and spirituality, such as “The Taste of Life”, “The Taste of Happiness”, “The Taste of Love”, “The Fullness of Life”, “The Taste of Health”, “Rosemary and Roses: A Journey to Oneself”, “Words of Power: The Art of Creating a Happy Life”, “Menopause: Journey to Feminine Essence”, “Taste of Eternal Youth”, “A House Full of Love: Recipes for Four Seasons” and “Joy Journal”. Her 2024 book “Transformation: Journey to Strength and Freedom” was also released.
Personal Life
Maciąg married photographer Robert Wolański in 2011 and they had a daughter, Helena, born early in the previous decade. Her first marriage to Paweł Maciąg produced a son, Michał, born in 1992.
She was a graduate of the Fine Arts High School in Supraśl, studied journalism at the University of Warsaw, and also studied psychology and cultural studies at Warsaw’s SWPS University. She remained active in Warsaw’s media and fashion circles, contributing to photo shoots and television programs.

Maciąg’s passing marks the end of a significant chapter in Polish popular culture— from pioneering runway model to media personality and bestselling author. Her books, blog, and video materials continue to inspire many in pursuit of healthy living and inner balance.
