Ambulance Collides with Car in Warsaw, One Hospitalized

An ambulance with lights and sirens activated collided with a passenger car at a busy Warsaw intersection on March 16th, resulting in one injury.

Collision at Busy Intersection

On Monday, March 16th, at 3:11 PM, a Seat passenger car and a private medical ambulance collided at the intersection of Powsińska, Idzikowskiego, Gołkowska, and Czerniakowska streets.

The incident resulted in one injury and significant traffic disruption towards the city center.

Circumstances of the Accident

The ambulance, operating with lights and sirens, was traveling on Powsińska Street from the Wilanów direction and entered the intersection against a red light.

Simultaneously, a Seat was making a left turn from Czerniakowska Street onto Gołkowska Street with a green light, leading to the collision.

Emergency Response

Firefighters, paramedics, and police were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters secured the area and the vehicles involved.

Paramedics provided assistance to the injured woman in the Seat and transported her to the hospital.

Traffic Disruption

The intersection remained partially blocked following the accident, causing significant traffic congestion towards the city center. A traffic jam extended beyond Wiertnicza Street.

Investigation Underway

Traffic police from the Road Traffic Department’s accident investigation unit documented the scene to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. Traffic flow in the area was significantly hampered during the investigation.
