Anti-Ukrainian Streamer ‘Nazar’ Back Behind Bars for Alleged Assault and Threats

Piotr N., known online as “Nazar,” has been arrested in Gdynia after allegedly threatening his partner and attacking a police officer just days after his release from custody.

Rearrested Following Domestic Incident

“Nazar” has been arrested again. According to Radio Gdańsk, Piotr N. was released from custody and returned home on January 28. On Friday, he allegedly threatened his partner, who then notified the police. During the police intervention, “Nazar” reportedly attacked one of the officers.

“On Friday around 11:30 a.m., police received a report from a woman asking for intervention regarding her aggressive partner. The man was allegedly banging on the door of their apartment and threatening her life. When officers arrived at the scene, the man redirected his aggression toward them. He insulted one of the officers and physically attacked him,” said Aspirant Krzysztof Czarnecki from the Gdynia Municipal Police Headquarters on Radio Gdańsk.

“The officers overpowered and detained the attacker. He turned out to be a 44-year-old resident of Gdynia. After being transported to the police station, the man was informed of four charges: making criminal threats against his partner, insulting and violating the bodily integrity of an officer, and property damage,” Czarnecki added. The court agreed to the arrest of Piotr N. for a period of three months.

Previous Charges and Drug Use

In December of last year, the 44-year-old “Nazar” faced charges including incitement to hatred on national grounds, making criminal threats, and damaging a historic building. Radio Gdańsk reports that a month prior, he had been stopped during a traffic check. Tests indicated the presence of illegal psychoactive substances.

History of Xenophobic Attacks

As reported last year, Piotr N. is well-known to the Tricity police. For months, the man has been tearing down Ukrainian flags and replacing them with Polish ones. “He carried out an attack on a Ukrainian restaurant, kicked a woman for hanging Ukrainian flags, and praised car arson. His films on social media are full of anti-Semitic and xenophobic content. He speaks of Ukrainians as a threat to Poland,” emphasizes *Gazeta Wyborcza*.

*Gazeta Wyborcza* also notes that “Nazar” is praised by members of Grzegorz Braun’s party, of which he is a supporter.
