A fire broke out in a ground-floor apartment on Inflancka Street in Warsaw’s Śródmieście district around 8 PM, injuring an 80-year-old resident.

Fire Breaks Out in Warsaw Apartment

Around 8:00 PM, a fire erupted in a ground-floor apartment located on Inflancka Street in the Śródmieście district.

Upon the arrival of the first fire crews, the fire had already engulfed most of the apartment.

Resident Evacuated and Hospitalized

The apartment’s resident, a man over 80 years old, evacuated the building and was transferred to paramedics before being taken to a hospital.

Firefighting and Rescue Operations

Firefighters immediately began extinguishing the fire after assessing the situation. Heavy smoke was present in the area.

After the fire was extinguished, the stairwell was ventilated to remove smoke from the building’s common areas, and the scene was secured.

Emergency Services Involved

Four fire crews, a city operational officer, two police crews, a medical rescue team, and gas and energy utilities personnel participated in the operation on Inflancka Street.
