On Dec. 4–5 2025, police detained a man at a private estate in Zaręby, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, following a two‑day operation for domestic abuse and possession of illegal firearms.
Two‑Day Police Operation
Policemen carried out a two‑day intervention at a private residence in Zaręby, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, after a complaint of domestic violence and suspected illegal firearms possession on Dec. 4–5 2025.
Resistance and Forced Entry
The suspect did not respond to officers’ commands or open the door, prompting a forced entry through a broken window. A search of the premises uncovered a homemade gun (“samoróbka”) and an additional firearm for which the suspect lacked a license.
Charges and Court Order
The man faces charges of physical and psychological abuse of his wife, issuing criminal threats to a family member, and the illegal manufacture and possession of firearms. On Dec. 6 2025, the Court in Żyrardów imposed police supervision, a financial bond, and restrictions on approaching the victims and their homes.
Police Units Involved
The operation was conducted by officers from the Żabi Wola police post, the Grodzisk Mazowiecki district police command, and the Warsaw Police Prevention Unit. No injuries were reported during or immediately before the intervention.
