Two Ukrainian men entered a shop on Wyszogrodzka Street in Warsaw at 19:30. They became aggressive and threatened non‑Ukrainian customers after purchasing alcohol.
Death threats and attempted robbery
One man brandished a pistol‑like object, attacked a customer, then fled. The other returned with a knife, threatened the customers again and had stolen several items. Surveillance footage was seized by police.
Police mobilise and locate suspects
After the incident, officers called in dog handlers, crime scene investigators and forensic technicians. Authorities then arrested Polish men in an apartment block on the same street.
Arrest of Polish suspects
Among the arrested were a 34‑year‑old with a pistol‑like weapon, a 42‑year‑old holding a knife, and a 28‑year‑old found with drugs. All three were reportedly intoxicated.
Charges and prior convictions
They were questioned at the Warsaw‑Praga North District Prosecutor’s Office on charges of defamation, threatening a foreign nationality, inciting hatred, and robbery. They face up to 15 years in prison and are known to have previous convictions.
