Incident Details
During the night of Friday 5 December to Saturday 6 December 2025, in the area of the pavilions near Jana Pawła II Avenue in Warsaw’s Wola district, a violent attack took place. According to witnesses, the attacker was driving a Mercedes G‑Class and confronted victims returning from a company Christmas party.
The assailant approached the group, allegedly pulled a weapon-like object from his vehicle, and fired three shots directly at Łukasz W. in the face before boarding his vehicle and driving away without offering any assistance.
Victim Condition
Łukasz W. suffered serious facial injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he remains under medical care.
Police and Prosecutor Actions
The police conducted a series of procedural and operational actions to investigate the crime under the supervision of the prosecution. The investigation is being carried out by the Warsaw Wola district courthouse, under the case number 4316-1.Ds.846.2025.
Prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba announced that the suspect was identified but remains at large, and that two individuals have been arrested and charged with aiding the perpetrator, pursuant to Article 239 § 1 of the Polish Criminal Code.

§ 1. Who obstructs or defeats a criminal proceeding by aiding a perpetrator in evading criminal liability, including for financial crimes, especially by hiding the perpetrator, creating false evidence, or erasing a crime’s trace, shall be punished with imprisonment from three months to five years.
§ 2. The perpetrator who hides a close relative is not subject to punishment.
§ 3. The court may grant an extraordinary reduction or dispense with punishment if the perpetrator assisted a close relative or acted due to fear of criminal liability for himself or a close relative.
Article 13 – Attempt (Usiłowanie)
§ 1. Whoever, with intent to commit a prohibited act, directly moves toward its execution but the act does not take place, shall be liable for an attempt.
