Trial Begins
On Monday, 24 November, the Municipal Court in Myszków (Silesian Province) commenced the trial of Teresa D., the aunt of Jacek Jaworek. She faces a charge of obstructing the criminal proceeding, punishable by three months to five years in prison.
Aunt Confesses
During the trial, Teresa D. quietly admitted, “I acknowledge the charge of hiding Jacek Jaworek,” and then refused to provide further explanations. The judge read her pre‑trial statements into the record.
Why She Hid the Suspect
Teresa D. says Jacek Jaworek was due to visit her home on 1 November 2023. She recalls letting him in, fearing for her safety, and allowing him to stay overnight in an old apartment. She expressed remorse, saying she regrets her actions and does not wish to go to prison.
The Borowce Murder
On 10 July 2021, in Borowce near Częstochowa, Jacek Jaworek allegedly shot his brother, his wife, and their 17‑year‑old son. After fleeing, he evaded law enforcement for months. Over 100 witnesses were interviewed by prosecutors. Jaworek’s body was discovered on 19 July 2024 at a recreation complex, where post‑mortem confirmed suicide.
