Polish prosecutors released toxicology findings in the March 15 death of Barbara Skrzypek in Warsaw.
Toxicology Test Results
According to Gazeta.pl, no traces of harmful toxic substances were found in the material taken for examination. Prosecutor Karolina Staros of the Warsaw–Praga District Prosecutor’s Office told Gazeta.pl that the prosecutor will review the entire evidence material and decide on further steps.
Prosecutor’s Statement
The Warsaw‑Praga District Prosecutor’s Office issued a statement on 21 October announcing that a toxicology report had been prepared and delivered after an autopsy in the case of accidental manslaughter involving Barbara Skrzypek. Under Article 318 of the Criminal Procedure Code, family members and legal representatives were informed of the report’s existence and allowed to review it.
Due to the nature of the case and respect for relatives, the priority is for the family to receive the report first; therefore no details of its contents are released at this stage. Further information will be provided as the investigation progresses and necessary procedural steps are taken.
Details of the Death
Investigators have examined the death of Barbara Skrzypek, a long‑time associate of Jarosław Kaczyński, for several months. She died on 15 March after being questioned by the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office as a witness regarding the construction of the so‑called “two towers” on land owned by the Srebrna company.
The prosecutor later stated that her death was caused by an acute worsening of chronic circulatory failure, triggered by a massive, fresh infarction of the posterior wall of the heart. This infarction was due to a thrombus formed on an atherosclerotic plaque that impeded flow in a major coronary vessel, namely a branch surrounding the left main coronary artery.
