Belarusian Man Hides Behind Store Counter, Detained for Illegal Stay in Poland

Police in Warsaw arrested a 32-year-old Belarusian citizen suspected of store burglary after he hid from officers behind a counter.

Store Break-in and Arrest

Police officers from the Bemowo patrol unit detained a 32-year-old man suspected of breaking into a store and committing theft. According to preliminary information, the perpetrator broke the glass in the entrance doors and then stole cash.

Illegal Status Discovered

After checking in police databases, officers established that the suspect, a citizen of Belarus, was illegally staying in Poland. After gathering evidence, the suspect was charged with breaking and entering.

Transfer to Border Guard

Following the legal proceedings, the suspect was handed over to officers from the Border Guard station in Warsaw. The man had initially hidden behind a store counter upon noticing the police officers investigating the break-in.
