Białołęka Traffic Paralysis Persists After Modlińska Works

The intersection of Modlińska and Światowida stayed shut into the evening of November 12, keeping the north of Warsaw in a traffic standstill despite promised night‑time reopening.

Night‑time Reopening Promise Falls Short

Municipal plans had the Modlińska–Światowida junction open the night of 10‑11 November, yet the intersection stayed closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, compromising traffic flow.

Morning and Evening Congestion Amplified

Drivers reported jams on Światowida from Trakt Nadwiślański toward Modlińska and on Modlińska toward the city centre early in the day. By evening the entire North Bridge and adjacent Modlińska sections were blocked.

Detours Accumulate Traffic

The lack of junction access caused buildup on detours and at surrounding intersections along Światowida and on approaches to the North Bridge, especially during the afternoon and evening peak of November 12.

Uncertain Closure Date

Signage closed the full range of dates with tape, showing only the start of work, which left drivers unsure of the actual end date. The city still expected all works to finish by the end of November 12.
