A high-speed collision between a BMW and Toyota on Warsaw’s Domaniewska street injured three people, including a child, while a second crash involving police injured two officers.
Deadly Double Crash at Domaniewska Street
On Tuesday, the 9th of September, a BMW and Toyota collided on Domaniewska Street near the Samochodowa intersection leading to Aleje Niepodległości. Two individuals, the BMW driver and a child traveling with them, were transported to the hospital. The Toyota driver, also injured with head trauma, was taken to the hospital as well.
Preliminary Investigation Released
Initial findings suggest both vehicles were traveling on the left side of Domaniewska Street when the incident occurred. The Toyota driver, a foreigner, attempted a right-side turn, crossing a double continuous line, prompting the BMW driver to swerve further left, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.
Emergency Response Efforts
Firefighters secured the crash site and requested additional medical rescue teams. The BMW driver and child were transported to the hospital, while the Toyota driver, with head injuries, was treated by another rescue team. Police from the Traffic Management Department conducted investigations at the scene, documenting the sequence of events and preserving evidence.
Double Tragedy Continues
Later, a work crew from the WRD briefly took over, followed by another accident at the Wołoska-Domaniewska intersection where two officers were injured.
