BMW Blocks City Bus: Three Hurt, Two Hospitalized

On Wednesday 3 October at about 10:00 a.m., a BMW collided with Warsaw city bus line 138 near Puławska and Madalińskiego streets, injuring three passengers, two of whom were taken to hospital.

Incident Details

At approximately 10 a.m., a BMW sedan driven by a civilian employee of the Australian embassy collided with a city bus on route 138 when the bus was turning left onto Puławska from Madalińskiego. The sudden appearance of the car forced the bus to brake sharply.

Immediate Response

Emergency services were dispatched immediately. A medical team attended the scene, treating passengers who had been thrown forward and struck the side windscreen with broken glass.

Injuries and Hospitalization

Three passengers were injured, with one sustaining only minor cuts treated on-site. Two others were transported to hospital; one left the facility around noon after treatment.

Investigation Findings

Police examined sobriety and found both the BMW driver and the bus conductor were sober and possessed valid licences. An investigation of the exact circumstances is ongoing.
