Early Thursday morning, a BMW driven by a Ukrainian citizen fell from an 8-meter embankment onto a parked Citroen on Jakubowska Street after losing control on Poniatowski Bridge.

On Thursday, February 19, in the early hours, a road accident occurred involving a BMW and a parked Citroen on the exit from Poniatowski Bridge heading toward Washington Roundabout. The BMW, driven by a Ukrainian citizen, after hitting infrastructure elements, fell from the embankment onto Jakubowska Street.

Cause and Fall Sequence

Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of the BMW lost control of the vehicle while exiting Poniatowski Bridge toward Washington Roundabout. The car first hit bollards and a tram pole, then fell from an approximately 8-meter high embankment onto Jakubowska Street.

Aftermath and Miraculous Outcome

After falling, the BMW hit a properly parked Citroen. Despite the serious nature of the incident, no injuries were reported. It’s worth noting that miraculously, the car did not hit any trees located on the embankment.
