Boat Capsizes During Vistula Fishing, One Man Drowns

In the morning before 11 a.m., Płock police received a call that a man had likely drowned in Wyszogrod, a village in Płock County. Police and fire services arrived at the Vistula and recovered the body of a 58‑year‑old fisherman. A medical examiner pronounced the death on site.

The overturned boat carried three men. While the vessel tipped during a casual fishing trip, two men swam to shore, but the third was found submerged. Firefighters were able to retrieve the body from the river.
