Bondi Out as Attorney General, Trump Confirms Replacement Plan

Pam Bondi is stepping down as Attorney General, confirmed by Donald Trump, who announced Todd Blanche will serve as acting AG.

Trump Confirms Media Reports

Just minutes after Fox News published the information, President Donald Trump confirmed the reports. He stated Pam Bondi is a “great American patriot and loyal friend” who faithfully served as Attorney General for the past year.

Trump noted Bondi oversaw a large-scale fight against crime, resulting in the number of murders falling to its lowest level since 1900. He also revealed Bondi will transition to a new role in the private sector, details of which will be announced soon.

“We love Pam, who is going to be going to a very important and needed job in the private sector, which we’ll be announcing at a later date,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Our Deputy Attorney General, a very talented and respected lawyer, Todd Blanche, will be taking over as Acting Attorney General.”

Fox News: Discussions Underway for Bondi’s Successor

Fox News reports that Lee Zeldin, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, is a candidate to fill the position. However, the White House has not publicly confirmed this decision.

Contradictory signals emerged regarding the matter, with a Department of Justice spokesperson, cited by Fox News, denying reports of Bondi’s dismissal. Fox News maintained its sources confirmed the change, a claim supported by Trump’s post.
