Grzegor Braun’s party is hosting the KINGS congress on January 31, with tickets for a 5,000 zloty patronage already sold out.
The Event
Grzegor Braun’s party, “Korona,” is hosting the KINGS (Congress of National, Economic and Local Initiatives) on January 31. According to the organizers, the congress is “a space for meeting experts, practitioners and opinion leaders” to create a program based on facts and strategic thinking about Poland. The location is not yet known, but it will be held about 70 km from Warsaw.
Ticket Prices
A standard ticket costs 300 zloty, which includes participation in the congress and panels, a coffee break, and lunch. A premium ticket for 1,500 zloty allows participation in a dinner with invited guests. An elite ticket for 2,500 zloty guarantees a spot at the organizational dinner table, an unspecified “surprise,” and “organizational support during the event.” The elite tickets have already sold out.
Patrons pay 5,000 zloty. In addition to the benefits of the elite ticket, patrons receive thanks for their support and are listed as patrons. Obtaining a ticket is equivalent to making a donation to the “Konfederacja Korony Polskiej” party. The party’s spokesperson, Roman Fritz, did not respond to a request for comment.
“Business Card”
According to a party activist, the KINGS congress is meant to show that Korona can build an “expert” support base. “Many people believe that Korona only deals with Ukrainians and Jews, and that the economy or finance does not concern us. KINGS is proof that it is otherwise,” the member of Korona claims. “The congress is to be our business card,” they add.
Panelists for the discussion on freedom of speech, besides party activists, include Jan Pospieszalski, Monika Jaruzelska, editor-in-chief of “Do Rzeczy” Paweł Lisicki, and far-right blogger Marcin Rola.
Socha, Cichosz, Sykulski
The panel on economic freedom will be led by Ireneusz Jabłoński, a former vice president of Łódź and a PRL-era intelligence agent. Other speakers include former spokesman for small and medium-sized enterprises Adam Abramowicz, lawyer and economic journalist Robert Gwiazdowski, economist Dr. Henryk Siodmiok, editor-in-chief of “Najwyższy Czas” Tomasz Sommer, and Janusz Korwin-Mikke.
The discussion on the army and security services will include former generals Leon Komornicki and Bogusław Samol. The conversation on sovereignty and geostrategic security will include Leszek Sykulski, a pro-Russian activist and publicist, founder of the “Bezpieczna Polska” party and author of an interview with the Russian ambassador to Poland.
Anti-vaxxer and Food Tech Expert
Anti-vaccination activist Justyna Socha and food technology expert Professor Grażyna Cichosz will also participate in KINGS. Cichosz recently made headlines for an interview with journalist Bogdan Rymanowski, which many in the scientific community claim spread disinformation.
Future Plans
According to sources within Korona, this year’s KINGS is intended not to be a one-time event. A similar congress is planned for 2027, and there are also plans to organize smaller, regional congresses.
