On November 28, MEP Borys Budka blasted Polish president Karol Nawrocki as a saboteur and urged the president’s entourage to rethink their actions.
Budka Accuses Nawrocki of Sabotage
Borys Budka told Radio ZET that Karol Nawrocki is “sabotaging the work of the government”. He argued that Nawrocki entered the presidential palace with the sole aim of toppling the legitimately elected administration.
Political Context and Mention of Kaczyński
Budka added that Nawrocki’s actions, comparable to those of Jarosław Kaczyński, form a political plan that harms Poland’s security. “Their plan is carried out at the expense of national safety,” he said.
Tusk’s Comment on Special Forces
Budka also referenced Donald Tusk’s April tweet, which criticised the refusal to sign requests for young special‑forces officers and for awards to anti‑disinformation heroes. Budka described this refusal as “sabotage aimed at state security.”
Appeal to Nawrocki’s Inner Circle
In a separate statement to Radio ZET, Budka urged the president’s entourage to “stop letting the Polish‑Polish war run its course” and to prioritise Poland’s safety. He insisted that the constitution clearly assigns executive power to the prime minister, not the president, and called for the president to understand this reality.
