The Progressive Bulgaria coalition, formerly led by President Rumen Radev, received 38.7% of the votes cast in Sunday’s early parliamentary elections, according to exit poll data from Myara.
GERB, the party of former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, came in second with 14.8% support, followed by Continue the Change–Democratic Bulgaria with 13.1%.
Other Parties’ Performance
DPS-New Beginning, associated with oligarch Delian Peevski, garnered 9.2%, while the nationalist Revival party received 5.3%. The Bulgarian Socialist Party cleared the electoral threshold with 4% of the vote.
Voter Turnout and Context
The polling center reported that, as of 7 PM local time, 46.7% of eligible Bulgarian citizens had participated in the elections.
Voting began at 7 AM local time and concluded at 8 PM. Candidates from 14 parties and 10 coalitions competed for seats in the 240-member National Assembly. These elections mark the eighth parliamentary elections in Bulgaria within the last five years.
