Burglary at Ticket Office Sparks Investigation

Police received a report of a nighttime burglary at the ticket office of a local train station. The suspect was immediately identified as a 42‑year‑old man with a history of similar offences.

Rapid Arrest by Neighborhood Officers

Neighborhood officers conducted a swift search of the suspect’s frequent locations and located him at a known address. He was arrested and taken to the police command, where he admitted to forcing open a window to steal money.

Further Crimes Revealed

Subsequent investigations linked the man to a burglary of a medical facility’s storage room and the theft of a telephone. Analysis of his recent behaviour showed eight arrests since September for shoplifting alcohol and groceries, all as a repeat offender.

Prosecution Seeks Preventive Detention

The collected evidence was forwarded to the Grodzisk Regional Prosecutor’s Office with a request for a preventive measure due to the suspect’s numerous thefts. The prosecutor affirmed the necessity and requested temporary arrest.

Court Orders Three‑Month Detention

The court approved the request, sentencing the man to three months in detention. He will spend the period behind bars before any further proceedings.
