Accident Details
On Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the intersection of Piłsudski Avenue and Lisa Kuli Street in Marki (Wołomin County), a collision occurred between a city bus of line 340 and a car on Piłsudski Avenue. Two people in the car were transported to the hospital, and the road in the direction of Radzymin remains blocked.
The incident was reported after 6:20 AM. According to initial police reports, “a city bus of line 340 collided with a Kia car. The car’s passenger was taken to the hospital,” while officers at the scene are determining the circumstances of the accident.
Emergency Response
However, information obtained at the scene indicates that two people in the car were taken to the hospital. When firefighters arrived, they found two men in the vehicle. The driver was conscious, while the passenger was trapped and without vital signs. Firefighters used hydraulic tools to extract the injured person and began resuscitation, then handed the injured person over to a medical rescue team. Both individuals were taken to the hospital.
According to police findings, one of the drivers had entered the intersection on a red light, causing the bus to strike the right side of the car from the passenger side. Ambulances with the injured have left, but police are still at the scene, and Piłsudski Avenue remains blocked in the direction of Radzymin.

Traffic Disruptions
The accident caused significant traffic disruptions and changes in public transportation routes. Three fire brigades were at the scene: JRG Wołomin, JRG15 Warsaw, OSP Marki, along with 5 ZRM teams, municipal supervision, and police.

Buses have been redirected to detour routes: Lines 140, 340, 738, L45 > Czarna Struga / Pustelnik / P+R Radzymin / PKP Wołomin : … Piłsudski Avenue – Sosnowa – Okólna – Słoneczna – Piłsudski Avenue … to the main routes.”
