Bus Collides with Car, Overturns Near Warsaw; Eight Injured

The accident occurred at the intersection of Piłsudski Avenue and Bandurskiego Street in Marki, a town near Warsaw. Police received reports of the collision at 4:30 PM.

According to Young Assistant Inspector Jakub Filipiak of the Warsaw police, a city bus collided with a passenger vehicle, causing the bus to overturn. Eight people sustained injuries.

Traffic Disruption and Diversions

The Mayor of Marki, Jacek Orych, urged drivers to avoid the intersection entirely and seek alternative routes to facilitate rescue operations and prevent traffic congestion.

Warsaw Transport Authority reported disruptions to bus lines 140, 240, 340, 738, L44, and L46, with potential delays and route changes.

Bus Route Diversions

Lines 140, 340, and 738 heading towards Metro Trocka are being diverted via Piłsudski, Słoneczna, Okólna, Sosnowa, and Piłsudski streets. Line 240 towards Metro Kondratowicza will travel via Piłsudski, Słoneczna, Okólna, and Kościuszki streets.

Line L44 towards CH Marki will use Słoneczna, Okólna, and Bandurskiego streets, while line L46 will follow Piłsudski, Słoneczna, Okólna, Sosnowa, and Piłsudski streets in the same direction.
