A collision involving a Warsaw city bus line 190 and a private car occurred at 10:51 a.m. on Solidarności Avenue in the city’s central district, near Bielańska Street.

Cause of the Accident

The private‑car driver changed lanes and entered the bus’s right of way. To avoid a direct collision, the bus driver had to apply sudden braking.

Injuries and Medical Response

Four passengers sustained injuries that required medical intervention and were transported to hospital. Several other passengers fell inside the bus during the abrupt stop.

Investigation and Alcohol Tests

Both the private‑car driver and the bus driver were tested for alcohol by police and found to be sober. Police and medical teams documented the scene and are conducting further investigations into the incident’s details.

Previous Incident at Same Location

Yesterday, at the same intersection of Solidarności Avenue and Bielańska Street, two trams collided with a city bus, resulting in 17 hospitalizations. Separate police investigations are underway for both incidents.
