A 70-year-old woman was injured on Tuesday, April 7th, in Wrocław when a bus tire exploded at a city bus stop on Królewska Street.
Bus Tire Explosion Injures Passenger
The incident occurred around 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7th, at a bus stop on Królewska Street in Wrocław. As the bus began to move, a tire exploded.
The injured woman, who was waiting at the bus stop, was struck by fragments of the tire. She sustained injuries including a pelvic and hip injury and was conscious when transported to the hospital.
Similar Incident on A4 Highway
In March 2022, a truck tire exploded on the A4 highway near Zgorzelec. Debris from the explosion hit a passing passenger van, damaging its right side.
No injuries were reported in the A4 highway incident.
Previous Tire-Related Fatality
In 2019, a 32-year-old worker died in an explosion while repairing a truck tire at a workshop near Grodków.
