Resident Discovers Injured Bird
A resident of Targówek noticed a wild bird in need of help. He took care of it and called the city guard’s Ekopatrol.
Ekopatrol Responds to Call
On Thursday, January 8th, a city guard officer and guard from the Ekopatrol received a dispatch from the duty officer to go to Radzymińska Street.
The reporting person asked for help for an injured bird they found on their field.
Magnificent Buzzard Rescued
Upon arrival, it turned out that it wasn’t just any bird that needed help, but a magnificent buzzard.
The predator found in the field had a damaged wing and couldn’t fly.
Unusually Trustful Bird
Although wild animals are usually shy and flee when they see humans, the buzzard apparently realized it couldn’t cope without Ekopatrol’s help.
With stoic calm, it allowed the guards to place it in a transporter, in which it was safely transported to the Bird Sanctuary at the Warsaw Zoo.
Hope for Recovery
We hope that under the supervision of the specialists there, it will recover quickly and soar into the sky again.
We wish it high flights!
