Fire in Nowy Wilków Claims One Life
A camper van fire occurred in Nowy Wilków, Nowy Dwór County, on a private property during the night of April 7-8, around 0:25 AM.
Firefighters evacuated a man from the burning camper van, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
Response and Damage
Three fire crews and a medical rescue team were dispatched to the scene. The fire completely destroyed the camper van.
Victim Identified
The victim was a 53-year-old Ukrainian citizen. Despite the efforts of the medical team, he could not be saved.
Investigation Underway
Following the rescue operation, police, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, began investigating the cause of the fire and whether third parties were involved.
The Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki State Fire Service was dispatched to the fire in Nowy Wilków on April 8, 2026, resulting in one fatality.
