A 47-year-old passenger died in hospital after a morning collision between a Kia car and city bus in Marki.
Accident Details
The incident occurred on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the intersection of Piłsudski Avenue and ul. Lisa-Kuli. A city bus line 340 collided with a Kia car. The accident report came in after 6:20 AM, prompting dispatch of rescue services including the fire brigade, medical teams, and police.
Victim’s Condition
The 47-year-old passenger was trapped in the car and showed no vital signs initially. Firefighters used hydraulic tools to extricate him and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Despite emergency actions, the man died after being transported to the hospital. The car’s driver was conscious and also taken to the hospital.
Preliminary Findings
According to police, one of the drivers entered the intersection on a red light, with the bus hitting the right side of the car from the passenger side. Police secured the scene and continued investigation after the ambulances departed.

Eight passengers and the driver were on the bus. None of them were injured in the collision.
