Owner reports theft of a 12,000‑złoty Maine Coon

A man in Grójec notified the local police that his Maine Coon, worth 12,000 złoty, had vanished from the fenced property and surrounding area. He was convinced someone had taken the cat and that it had not simply wandered off.

Police review surveillance footage

Police examined nearby camera recordings and spotted a man who had disembarked from a car, walking a cat along the street close to the owner’s home. The suspect drove away after taking the animal.

Suspect identified and arrested

Authorities tracked the vehicle and identified the suspect, a 33‑year‑old man. In his home they recovered the cat, which was in good condition, and returned it promptly to the owner.

Potential imprisonment for theft

The 33‑year‑old faces charges of theft and may receive up to five years in prison.
